Called to a University Disciplinary Meeting?

Find out what is alleged, what evidence is available and how the meeting will work.

Get the procedure and allegation

Ask for the relevant disciplinary rules, the allegation in writing, the possible outcomes and the meeting arrangements. Check whether the concern is academic misconduct, non-academic conduct or another process.

Request the material

Ask for the evidence the decision-maker will consider and enough time to respond. Prepare a short chronology, documents supporting your account and any questions about gaps or inconsistencies.

Prepare to participate

Check whether you may bring a supporter and whether you need adjustments to take part fairly. After the meeting, keep the written outcome and note the appeal deadline and grounds.
